The 0w20 is a better-built oil. It's why most passenger vehicle manufacturers have opted-out of using 5w20 in the engine factory.

In addition the 2015 models their recommending 6,000 mile oil change instead the 7,500 mile oil change. You would think they did allot of testing before coming out to say do a 7,500 mile oil change.

Use 5w-30 and you'll eliminate consumption issues and have a quieter engine. If you're in a high ambient market consider 10w-30.

Btw… you can also use a LL-4 rated oil where a LL-1 oil is spec’d, but not vice versa! Maybe who ever changed you oil put too much oil in the engine.
